Winter Beauty Tips

Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!!!!!!!! Its getting quite chilly!

We all need to keep warm and also look after our skin during Winter.

Here are some tips i have gathered.Please comment with your Winter beauty Tips. :)

 

Colour Match

Most of us lose our summer colour during Winter,so it is important to make sure that your foundation and concealer still match you.If the colour looks too dark or orange on your skin tone,get a lighter colour that suits you.

Foundation Finish

Luminous and dewy finishes look best in Winter.They help hide imperfections such as dry and flakey skin.make sure your skin is super hydrated and use a foundation primer.

Shower Power

We all love taking HOT showers in Winter but they are BAD on dry skin!

Try a lukewarm shower or even better,Have a bath and pour some babyoil in the tub for smooth,soft baby skin :) 

Cleanser

Switch to  a creamier cleanser during the Winter months.

It will help maintain the skins natural protective barrier.

Exfoliation

Avoid exfoliators and toners that are high in alcohol.It may feel refreshing but alcohol evaporates and strips away moisture.Look for alcohol free products this Winter.

Kissable Lips

This is a PAINFUL problem for me in Winter.use a rich,moisturizing lip balm with vitamin E or coconut oil and apply regularly.To heal painful cracks,buy a lip balm that contains tree oil.

Also what works for me,is gently brushing my lip with a dry toothbrush.It brushes away all the flakiness and..... Do NOT lick your lips!

Girlfriends Getaway

Hi girls!

I just got back from an awesome evening with my bff thanks to Ster Kinekor Sandton.Once a month, they have a girlfriends getaway which is GIRLS ONLY and CHICK FLICK Wednesday.
Its a great idea especially if you are stressed out or a very busy woman. Every woman needs some alone time right? Relax and enjoy the goodie bags and giveaways.

Nu Metro also has something similar to this .

Today I watched, THIS IS 40.Hilarious! I think a woman approaching 40 will very much enjoy this movie.A warning though,lots of cursing and steamy scenes.

My bff and I had these divine waffle sandwiches at milky lane.GORGEOUS and crispy! Best waffles I had by far!

So the new rave has been all about "Horse Shampoo" for Thick,Healthy,Long and Shiny hair.

So ,I decided to pop at Dischem today and purchase this product that everyone is talking about along with a great conditioner as i heard it drys out your hair.
I already have THICK hair,but I want my hair longer and I have heard that this is perfect for fast growth.

I must say that it was a rather funny purchase.The teller looked at me strangely and said this Shampoo is for a horse (Confused Face) ,does it work? lol. Have you guys had any funny reactions?
